ADDITION: Kino Blu-ray (August 2020): Kino have transferred Guy Hamilton's, Agatha Christie's Miss Marple effort, The Mirror Crack'd to Blu-ray. It is on a dual-layered disc with a max'ed out bitrate. This looks quite good - bright exteriors with bold colors and pleasing detail in close-ups (Liz.) It's not super dynamic but the image is clean and consistent with the 1080P looking a huge step above SD.

On their Blu-ray, Kino use a DTS-HD Master 2.0 channel track (16-bit) in the original English language. The film is fairly passive without many aggressive effects. There is a score by John Cameron (Night Watch 1988's Jack the Ripper, The Ruling Class) that is fairly unremarkable but does shift some moods. Kino offer optional English subtitles on their Region 'A' Blu-ray.

The Kino Blu-ray offers a new commentary by Messrs. Berger, Mitchell and Thompson. They discuss Bond director (with discussion of Diamonds are Forver) Guy Hamilton his theme of identity, how this would be considered the lesser of the similar EMI Agatha Christie 'mysteries' including the Hercule Poirot efforts. Angela Lansbury (and her eventual popularity as another detective-biddy in the Murder, She Wrote TV series) and the supporting cast of Liz, Rock, Tony Curtis, breast-thrusting Kim Novak (who had the most fun making The Mirror Crack'd) etc. are referenced. It's at their usual impressive level. There is also a theatrical trailer, 2 TV spots and the package has reversible art (see below.)  

I liked Guy Hamilton's The Mirror Crack'd. There is some humor here in this appealing, if convoluted, 'whodunit'. I almost wish there was more of Miss Marple in it. The star power - even diminished by time - still carries curiousity value. I thought Edward Fox was his usual excellent self. It's a film I was happy to see on the Kino Blu-ray. I will keep this - I was entertained so much. Recommended to mystery fans. I think it's even better than given credit for.
