While vacationing in France, an American artist becomes romantically involved with an older woman, Eve, while also attracted to her teenage stepdaughter, Annette. Pulled between them, a plot is hatched to free Eve's husband from jail but Eve has a different plan in mind.

Die! Die! Firstly, the Indicator Maniac Blu-ray was fully reviewed HERE, and the Indicator Frantic (Die! Die! My Darling) was fully reviewed HERE.

There is another Mill Creek Hammer Films Double Feature Blu-ray - Volume Four: Never Take Candy From a Stranger (Cyril Frankel, 1960), and Scream of Fear (Seth Holt, 1961) that we will eventually compare as well.

Mill Creek's 2018 Blu-ray transfer is pleasingly adept - the two features share a dual-layered Blu-ray disc supporting a high bitrates and lossless audio (albeit 16-bit). There are no extras and optional English subtitles. These are the same versions - with the same running times.

Both look about the same in 1080P with only minor differences. Maniac is almost imperceptivity weaker in-motion but the contrast is impressive in HD. Frantic uses the 'Die! Die! My Darling' title, is in 1.78:1 (opened-up) instead of 1.85:1 and shows some more speckles, rather frequently and distractingly so at one point, than the much cleanet Indicator transfer.

Big bonus here, though, is the price. Fans should probably nab it - especially if you don't own the Indicator as part of their 4 Blu-ray set Hammer Volume One: Fear Warning with Maniac, The Gorgon, The Curse of the Mummy's Tomb and Fanatic.

We have reviewed/compared Mill Creek's Blu-ray of Hammer Film Double Feature - Revenge of Frankenstein & The Curse of the Mummy's Tomb, HERE, and Mill Creek's Hammer Double Feature The Two Faces of Dr. Jekyll (1960) The Gorgon (1964), HERE. This set is significantly better with the uncompressed audio and dual-layered transfers... and the price is a steal with plenty of value.
