ADDITION: Endless Classics (Alive) - Region FREE - Blu-ray (October 2017): The 1080P seem to be from the same source as the Warner Archive DVD - it has the same marks.  The Warner bare-bones DVDs (made-on-demand) is no match for the higher resolution with over 3X the bitrate. Both are in the 1.78:1 aspect ratio where the film was 1.85:1 originally. The HD is brighter, richer colors, higher level of detail, more layered contrast and looks smoother in-motion. I see no manipulation in either release, but the improvement is easy to discern even in the static, resized, captures below.

The Endless Classics (Alive) Blu-ray offers a German DUB, as well as the original English option - both in DTS-HD Master mono (16-bit). There are plenty of effects and a score by Russell Garcia (The Time Machine, a few The Fugitive and Perry Mason episodes.) Neither offer subtitles and both are region FREE - playable worldwide.

The Blu-ray has a few more extras - with trailers and the package is a digibook with German text and photos - plus a second disc PAL DVD.

I have very fond memories of George Pal's fantasy Atlantis: The Lost Continent - I distinctly remember seeing it on a Saturday afternoon and marveling at the battle with Demetrios and 'Andex the Giant' with the undisclosed underwater fighting - as well as Paul Frees' fascinating opening narration. It fits perfectly in our 50's 60's fantasy BD list. What a rush. I may not have thought it at the time but Joyce Taylor (Twice Told Tales, Beyond a Reasonable Doubt, 13 Frightened Girls, The FBI Story) was quite the babe. The film is pretty contrived, but nostalgia value is HIGH! Recommended to the few who remember it... fondly.
