This collection includes three film noir classics starring the voluptuous screen goddess Mamie Van Doren (Teacher’s Pet). The Girl in Black Stockings – A party girl is murdered, and everyone in a Utah motel is a suspect. Directed by Howard W. Koch (Big House, U.S.A.) and co-starring Anne Bancroft (The Graduate), Lex Barker (Tarzan’s Peril) and Marie Windsor (The Killing); Guns, Girls and Gangsters – In Las Vegas, a group of criminals plan to rob an armored truck hauling casino loot to the bank. Directed by Edward L. Cahn (Invisible Invaders) and co-starring Lee Van Cleef (Sabata), Gerald Mohr (The Angry Red Planet) and Paul Fix (El Dorado); Vice Raid – A prostitution syndicate sends one of their callgirls (Van Doren) to New York City to frame a police officer. Once again directed by Cahn and co-starring Brad Dexter (99 River Street), Richard Coogan (Three Hours to Kill) and Barry Atwater (TV’s The Outer Limits).

ADDITION: Kino - Region 'A' - Blu-ray (December 2018): Kino Lorber bring us newly 2k restored "The Mamie Van Doren Film Noir Collection" on Blu-ray. This two-disc set contains "The Girl in Black Stockings" on the first single-layered Blu-ray, with "Vice Raid" and "Guns, Girls and Gangsters" on the second Blu-ray which is dual-layered. The bitrates range from high to maxed out. The fine quality of the image is consistent throughout each feature presentation. Detail is quite fine contrast levels strong, giving the B&W image a strong depth. There is only a slight grain, which is to be expected.

All 3 films are presented with a 16-bit 2.0 DTS-HD Master Audio track. The scores are thanks to Les Baxter ("The Girl in Black Stockings", "Black Sabbath"), Buddy Bregman ("Guns, Girls and Gangsters"), and the duo of Paul Sawtell and Bert Shefter ("Vice Raid"). Sadly, there are no English subtitles for any of these 3 films on these two Region-A Blu-ray discs.

Aside from trailers for the 3 films, the sole extra is "Sex Kitten Confidential", a 16-minute interview with star Mamie Van Doren, looking back on her career. There are also some trailers.

Kino have quite a nifty collection here, with the film noir offerings featuring Mamie Van Doren. The new 2k restoration Blu-ray image is quite impressive, resulting in an image rich with detail and little damage. Certainly recommended to those seeking the sleazier side of the dark cinema.
