When it started I didn't know what it was going to be like. I didn't expect nothing, I didn't know what I was going to see. I don't even watch TV. It was turned on, just like that. Heimat appeared... it's been maybe 12 years now, since I saw Heimat, and I never imagined it would remain so deep in my memory. Or should I say in my soul? I always thought that such memories and feelings could only stay with us from real life experiences...

This review has only one purpose and that is to get you to avoid the upcoming Facets "Heimat" as the quality is far below even their lapse standards. Claiming that it is based on an 1980s analogue beta cam (1 inch) NTSC master, you can plainly see in comparison to the existing Tartan edition fully reviewed HERE that the Facets image is totally unacceptable. We strongly suggest that you ignore buying this release or cancel any pre-order you may have made and consider the Tartan edition available from Amazon.UK HERE for RENT HERE. |
