Six of which have optional commentaries

There is a 'Play All' function to play all 20 cartoons, one after the other.

The image quality is very strong, bold and bright colors, many of the earlier ones show texture. Some of the backgrounds seem to have marks but it appear to be inherent in the originals. They are remarkably clean and run smoothly despite the modest bitrates (fairly, they don't need much as much of the screen is black bars on the side of the 1.33:1 image). Generally; excellent in 1080P.

On their Blu-ray, Warner Brothers use only lossy Dolby in the original English language. There are optional French and Portuguese DUBs. I'm surprised they didn't go lossless but the sound quality was still strong - without glitches and very consistent. As Wikipedia informs us, "The theme music for Looney Tunes was "The Merry-Go-Round Broke Down" by Cliff Friend and Dave Franklin, and the theme music for Merrie Melodies was an adaptation of "Merrily We Roll Along" by Charles Tobias, Murray Mencher and Eddie Cantor (the original theme was "Get Happy" by Harold Arlen, played at a faster tempo)." Of course many cartoons have additional orchestral music (Rabbit of Seville) that is very memorable to children growing up to these each Saturday morning. Voice characterizations are by the iconic Mel Blanc. Four have optional isolated alternate music-only, effects tracks. Warner Brothers offer optional English, French, Dutch or Portuguese subtitles on their Region FREE Blu-ray.

Beyond the commentaries listed above  Warner Brothers Blu-ray offers a new (2020) hour-long documentary: Bugs Bunny's 80th What's Up, Doc-umentary! - it has Joe Alaskey, Tex Avery (archive footage), Jerry Beck, Mel Blanc (archive footage), Ruth Clampett, Joe Dante, Greg Ford, Friz Freleng (archive footage), Chuck Jones (archive footage), Bill Melendez (archive footage) and others. It is very interesting focusing on the evolution of Bugs. There is also an older (1986) Looney Tunes 50th Anniversary running over 3/4 of an hour with input from celebrities and others including Eve Arden, Candice Bergen, Mel Blanc, David Bowie, Chevy Chase, Jeremy Irons, Cher and others. For each disc there is a "Behind the Tunes" featurette and the last Blu-ray has 10 Bonus, more modern, Bugs Bunny Cartoons running why of an hour. The package has the Full-Size Glitter Diamond Collection Bugs Bunny Funko Pop, an introduction letter from animation historian Jerry Beck

Okay, on the positive for the Bugs Bunny 80th Anniversary Collection 3 Blu-ray package - the cartoons look amazing and there are plenty I don't ever recall seeing before - good ones! To have all these commentaries (that also have a 'Play All' function) is a huge bonus as is the new documentary. The lossy audio is a surprising choice. I know many Bugs Bunny aficionados may not also be a fan of Funko figures and that inclusion won't be appreciation by most. I guess everyone has their favorites - many are here (Rabbit Fire, Rabbit of Seville, Baseball Bugs etc.), but some are absent like Broom-Stick Bunny, Long-Haired Hare (poking fun at both Opera and Disney), Little Red Riding Rabbit, Rabbit Hood, Bunny Hugged (with the wrestler 'The Crusher'), Hocus Pocus Hare (in the haunted castle) to name a few - and there were none that I could see with the Tasmanian Devil ?! I believe there are at least 4 of them. And how about One Froggy Evening (although not Bugs) as a bonus.  Perhaps they will surface on an upcoming Warner Brothers Blu-ray package. I'd love to see a Foghorn Leghorn BD set, too. This has immense value if you want to start a movie night with a Bugs cartoon or two. in the glory of 1080P. Fans can indulge in the commentaries, new documentary and there is more with the other featurettes, isolated scores and more. Feels like a must-own, and maybe you can give away the Funko at Christmas if you don't want it. Absolutely still recommended!
