The Oliver Stone Collection [Blu-ray]
Natural Born Killers, Any Given Sunday, Alexander Revisited
Production: Theatrical: Warner Video: Warner Home Video
Disc: Region: FREE! (as verified by the Momitsu region FREE Blu-ray player)
Description: Going by the cover on Amazon this set comprises the Warner Blu-rays of Natural Born Killers, Any Given Sunday, and Alexander Revisited. Now, while we can only assume which version they are including ('Unrated Director's Cut' for Natural Born Killers or 'Final Cut' for Alexander Revisited - the cover does say 'Final Cut') but any combination presently appears to be CHEAPER IF YOU BUY THEM ALL INDIVIDUALLY as opposed to in the "Oliver Stone Collection"!*
*NOTE: We are making the assumption that they the same transfers with the same audio and extras. It's pretty certain this will be the case - it's just a repackaging.
Natural Born Killers on it's own is $15.49, Any Given Sunday is $11.49, Alexander Revisited is $11.99. The total is $38.97 and the "Oliver Stone Collection" even at 29% Pre-order discount is $42.49! You'd expect there should be some savings by purchasing them together - instead it actually costs you more!
Please see our individual reviews (Natural Born Killers, Any Given Sunday, Alexander Revisited) for more details on the transfer and extras.

Final Comments: I tend to find Oliver Stone's films very entertaining but we can't endorse this boxset. These are 3 very diverse movies and we suggest purchasing INDIVIDUALLY whichever titles appeal to you - unless they eventually reduce the cost of the Blu-ray "Oliver Stone Collection" so that there is some savings as opposed to buying the titles separately. About the Reviewer: Hello, fellow Beavers! I have been interested in film since I viewed a Chaplin festival on PBS when I was around 9 years old. I credit DVD with expanding my horizons to fill an almost ravenous desire to seek out new film experiences. I currently own approximately 9500 DVDs and have reviewed over 3500 myself. I appreciate my discussion Listserv for furthering my film education and inspiring me to continue running DVDBeaver. Plus a healthy thanks to those who donate and use our Amazon links.
Although I never wanted to become one of those guys who
focused 'too much' on image and sound quality - I
find HD is swiftly pushing me in that direction. So be
it, but film will always be my first love and I list my
favorites on the old YMdb site now accessible
