NOTE: The below Blu-ray captures were ripped directly from the Blu-ray disc.

ADDITION: Shout! Factory - Region 'A' - Blu-ray (January2014): Quite the extravagant ride in this API movie! Blu-ray is single-layered but has a high bitrate for the 1-hour 18-minute feature. It improves in all the expected areas - brightens, better detail, a shade more information in the frame, tight colors. It doesn't look dynamic maintaining a flat 'digital' appearance but it is certainly a step in the overall superiority over the 2005 SD. Lossless sound is decent with some depth in the effects and screams - but there is only a trailer as an extra. This is too much cheap-production fun to turn down. For those keen on the wayward segment of the genre - this is enticing. Go for it.!

***

ON THE DVD: Although anamorphic, this is not quite as sharp as The Dunwich Horror (on the flip side). Skin tones seem a trifle red. But as we stated, Horror genre fans can't really go wrong for under $10.00. As part of the MGM Midnite Movies series you can buy online in Canada and eventually the UK, but only in "Best Buy stores" in the US as part of the agreement that they have. If you are into these films then you should consider yourself fortunate - these are decent DVDs worth there value.
