I have wanted a DVD like this since the inception of the media. I always thought what a great idea simply orchestral Bach and magnificent scenery would make for film. If you recall the movie Soylent Green (Charlton Heston, Edward G. Robinson) the character Sol decides its his time and for his euthanasia he gets treated to a cinema spectacle of exactly this - beautiful music and grandiose natural scenes.
I can leave this looping all day, catching only glimpses or sit and relax for a few moments and watch. The orchestrations are beautiful (see exact BWV listings below - hope you can read its quite small) and the cinematography (all motion- no stills) with occasional gentle pans left and right show the beauty of nature from arctic snowscapes, autumn harvests, rich green forests with rivers and ponds and clear blue oceans with fish swimming undersea. I am very happy with this DVD - it is exactly what I was looking for. It may end up being the most played disc in my house.

Although it is
not the best picture quality I have ever seen, it runs very close.
Anamorphic, tight and progressive - it fills the screen with excellent
colors.
It achieves its goal but
it could have been a shade better. Filling only one side of a single
layered DVD and with 2.0 channel sound it is still quite impressive
although only 48 minutes long. The nature scenes are diverse and roughly
themed to the music. I suppose I can't add much more than simply viewing
the images below. A great DVD to play at anytime of the day or night. I
think I am enjoying this even more than the
J.S. Bach 48
Preludes and Fugues DVD although technically it is superior. I give this

is becoming a personal favorite of all my DVDs.
