Comments:

NOTE: The below Blu-ray captures were taken directly from the Blu-ray disc.

ADDITION: Kino Blu-ray (May 2019): Kino have transferred the 70's UK-produced fantasy-adventure film Arabian Adventure to Blu-ray. It shows a few scratches in the beginning scenes but settles down and has some impressive effects as well as some weaker ones. The transfer is single-layered with a decent bitrate and looks reasonable with plenty of grain (and some scanner noise) giving the film presentation some texture. It is in the 1.78:1 aspect ratio and the image quality only modest in relation to the films source - it seems to require a good cleaning. I think fans will be pleased with it in 1080P.

On their Blu-ray, Kino use a DTS-HD Master 2.0 channel mono track (16-bit) in the original English language. It handles the effects, Arabian traditional music and a score by Ken Thorne (Hannie Caulder, Wolf Lake, The Bed Sitting Room, The Outsider) well creating a fantasy atmosphere from glorious adventure to seething tension in spots. Kino offer optional English subtitles on their Region 'A' Blu-ray.

The Kino Blu-ray has a new (2019) commentary by director Kevin Connor hosted by C. Courtney Joyner. Connor is 82-years old but recalls details of the production quite well and he has some salient comments on the cast, crew, Pinewood studio effects and much more. Joyner keeps the conversation going with some good questions. There is also a theatrical trailer.

This isn't a high-CGI effort but is far from simple with some extensive work done (models, wires) in the creation of Arabian Adventure that impressive conceptualization. It's a film that is a perfect young boy's adventure and certainly will carry nostalgia value for many. To that crowsd the Blu-ray with informative commentary has our recommendation!
