We get all type of cinema sent to us on disc. Deadly Pickup is not pretending to be anything more than it is. There are lots of graphic sex scenes (no close-ups or erections)... with a minor in plot. This hitchhiker gal (no description why) kills men, after intercourse, naturally, by stabbing them with her poison ring. The she robs them. Wash, rinse, repeat - until she is, unrepentantly, caught. It's single-layered but progressive and anamorphic in the1.78:1 aspect ratio - obviously shot on HD. It's clear and consistent, with a shade of depth. Quite a decent image for SD. Lossy Dolby audio in English. It's clear without issues - no flaws and no score (that I noticed.) There are no subtitles on the NTSC DVD. The only extra are three trailers of similar film - one of which is the feature. This is just bad porn disguised as a murder-thriller, but the gals are not quite up to scratch (however are 'real') - yet the guys are buff. I wasn't keen. Whatever floats your boat. My advice; pass. |
