The frustrated desires of housewife Ami (Ryoko Watanabe, FEMALE PRISONER: CAGE) - who has fantasies of violation while having vanilla sex with her physician husband Fujina - are awakened by his lascivious friend Dr. Kohsaka, who tells her of the existence of Madame Machiko's Society Club where housewives moonlight as prostitutes. After a wrong phone number leads to a rough sexual encounter with a stranger, Ami decides to work for Madame Machiko, "but only in the afternoon." As Ami begins to enjoy the bestial desires of her clients, things pep up in the bedroom with her husband and she considers quitting her "dayjob"; that is, until Kohsaka proves very able to drag her down into the desired abyss of degradation.

Made at a time when Japanese erotica stalwart Nikkatsu Studios was competing with newly introduced adult home video, DEBAUCHERY ups the ante of its "Roman Porno" line considerably in terms of graphic content while still conforming to Japanese censorship rules regarding genitalia. The plot is basically a superficial rip-off of Luis Bunuel's BELLE DE JOUR with the Kazuho character seems to be a combination of the Michel Piccoli and Pierre Clementi characters. It also appears as if there was meant to be some allusions to REPULSION with Ami's nightmares of violation and the crack that suddenly appears in the ceiling of her home, but the film spends most of its brief running time on lengthy sexual interludes which actually take advantage of optical censoring and genitalia-blocking angles to suggest acts that likely would have had uncensored adult films of similar vintage prosecuted for obscenity stateside at the time. The sketchy story includes a subplot involving a scruffy bachelor and an underage girl only present for more perversion and to provide the film with an abrupt and ludicrous ending (very different from the Bunuel film); nevertheless, the film certainly delivers what its title promises, and Nikkatsu fans couldn't demand more.
