| WE NEED YOUR HELP!
											Hello friends! In the
											current environment it is getting
more and more difficult for us to
maintain the website. Our income has
											severely been diminished by the
											increasing number of DVD/Blu-ray
											producers selling discs from their
own sites. At present they don't
											offer us affiliate commissions which
are our major source of income
(Amazon, Barnes and Noble etc.). To
											continue producing comparisons,
											reviews and articles, we

											regretfully

                      request YOUR
assistance in the form of small
monthly donations. We have started a
Patreon page with the hopes that
some of our followers would be
willing to donate to keep DVDBeaver
alive. We are a small niche, so your
											generosity is vital to our
											existence. |

(aka "Under the Tree")

	Directed by Hafsteinn Gunnar Sigurđsson

	Iceland
	2017
|
This dark suburban satire tells the story of a man who is accused of adultery by
his ex-fiancée and forced to move in with his parents. While he fights for
custody of his four-year-old daughter, he is gradually sucked into a bitter
dispute between his parents and their neighbours regarding an old and beautiful
tree that casts a shadow on the neighbours deck. As the dispute intensifies
property is damaged, pets mysteriously go missing, security cameras are being
installed and there is a rumour that the neighbour was seen with a chainsaw. |

| Comments: | NOTE: The below Blu-ray captures were taken directly from the Blu-ray disc.

Eureka [Montage Pictures] bring the black comedy film
		Under the Tree to

		Blu-ray. It's on a dual-layered

		Blu-ray
in 1080P with a supportive bitrate. It can look 'dim' but is consistent
and without another disc to compare to we can see it possible being
accurate to the production. It is in
the original 2.35:1 aspect ratio and looks very clean in-motion with
pleasing detail and plenty of depth. Under the Tree is a nicely
shot film by Monika Lenczewska with some unusual overhead shots, limited
close-ups and interesting use of the widescreen frame. |
