The Scorpion Releasing 1080P transfer is in the 1.78:1 aspect ratio on a single-layered Blu-ray , has a small file size but a reasonable bitrate for the hour-22-minute film. The HD presentation looks very tight carrying strong colors and detail while sprinkled with a few speckles - more so on the stock footage used in the film. The source is in impressive condition and the HD transfer is adept.

Scorpion Releasing use a DTS-HD Master 1.0 track at 24-bits in the original English language. There are a few slapstick-related effects as well as plenty of booming gunfire, car crashes and explosions. The score is by Andy Stein and a band performance in the film. There are no subtitles offered on this region FREE Blu-ray disc.

Scorpion Releasing augment their Blu-ray release with a fun, group audio commentary with directors Joe Dante, Allan Arkush and producer Jon Davidson. There are also over an hour's worth of new interviews with Dante, Roger Corman, Arkush, Jon Davidson, Mary Woronov, Miller Drake and Jeffrey Kramer plus a theatrical trailer and Trailers From Hell segment

Hollywood Boulevard has the perception of a pastiche of whatever they had available to make a film. But the filmmaking chaos is an intentional Corman technique passed off with humorous dialogue, and in this case, cheesecake or fully topless starlets bumbling through making a film. It represents a fun period of cinema with few restrictions. I see this Blu-ray is, presently, out-of-print, but if you can get a copy - the commentary and interviews add further value and Joe Dante fans will want to indulge.
