(aka 'Seinfeld : Season 2 +3' or 'Seinfeld Box 1: Season 2+3')

directed by Andy Ackerman, Jason Alexander, Tom Cherones, David Steinberg, David Owen Trainer, Joshua White
USA 1990

Jerry Seinfeld stars in one of the most watched television shows of the 1990's. He plays himself, a comedian residing in New York city. The premise of this sitcom is Jerry and his three friends going through everyday life, discussing, often universally accepted, conventions and circumstances appear to question their relevance. The key to the shows unrivaled success is the writing and excellent performances. The episodes were rarely very plot-focused, subsisting more on the minutia of everyday conversations situated around 4 friends communications and problems in New York city. Sitcom TV has never been better. out of

Comments:

Well, I would say these Seinfeld Boxsets are the zenith of TV on DVD. They are as close to perfection as I have come across. Image quality is as perfect as television to DVD can be, vibrant colors, sharp etc. Subtitles are unfortunately yellow, but well appointed. Secondary subtitles detailing insignificant trivia are a fun bonus to run after seeing the episode a few times (and you will watch them many times!). The Extras are stacked and help to further promote and exemplify the shows prominence in television history with numerous interview, commentaries and deleted scenes. Part of the success of the show seems to be the cast's ability never to take the show's success and its fanatical following too seriously. This is as good as Season 3 technically, although the shows may still be in a formative setting.

Ahhh... one flaw - extras are only subtitled in Spanish and Portuguese. Hardly a glaring fault and I must give this out of
