Lorelei and Dorothy are just "Two Little Girls from Little Rock", lounge singers on a transatlantic cruise, working their way to Paris, and enjoying the company of any eligible men they might meet along the way, even though "Diamonds are a Girl's Best Friend." Comments This new release of Howard Hawks' classic musical is beautiful. The DVD comes in a snow-white keep case inside a textured cardboard box.

The picture is very clean and un-manipulated and it's hard to spot any of the registration problems visible in previous releases. During the restoration, Fox made entirely new negatives from the original three-strip ones and they state in the restoration that the feature might look even better still in the future thanks to this preservation.

The sound is clean and without hiss, crackles or pops. A stereo mix is provided alongside with the original mono. The subtitles are well done, non-intrusive and white. The supplements are not much to talk about, but it's nice to have them there.

This is a fun and entertaining no-brainer film and I highly recommend the nice DVD package Fox has put out - it was really worth my $12.99.
