Surprising as you have such a great collection, but we all have stuff we regret buying. I don't think we should be too afraid to buy and find out first hand on our own systems. It would take the fun out of it. When you through the dice sometimes you get snake eyes... and sometimes you end up a winner.
Personally, I reghret my crappy versions of The 39 Steps and The Lady Vanishes... I went the cheap route instead of Criterion and now they are virtually unwatchable, so I wasted my dough. Also "The End of Violence". I had seen bits and peices and was intrigued... always wating a Wim Wenders film. I like Bill Pullman, but it was overall a disappointment... quite boring too.
Ohh well... perhaps voicing opinions like this may save someone else from buying the stuff we regret. Brent, I know regrets MANY of his purchases... Wild,Wild West... The Mummy.. Rob Roy... Eve's Bayou.. pretty much 1/2 of his collection...
He is still learning...
