This is an eccentric, refreshing comedy, in which the humor translates across continents and even through sub-titles. For a North American viewer (and the Japanese too, I suppose), some of the funniest moments occur in the movies observance of the impact of the melding of asian and western culture. Juxtapose a cowboy truck driver and noodles; that’s entertainment.
