The German transfers are inferior to the Criterion based transfers. Their (near identical) picture is zoomed in (pic#5) and suffers from haloing and lower detail resolution (pic#2) with a little edge enhancement visible (pic#1). Image detail, coloring and contrast is good. The superior US and UK transfers sport a highly defined, pristine picture (pic#3) with framing faithful to the original picture composition (pic#5) and only minor edge enhancement (pic#1). The US transfer shows a slightly greenish tint and steeper contrast (working out the finer details pic#3 but risking stronger edge enhancement pic#4). Both transfers are excellent.
