The non anamorphic German DVD is hampered by bad color timing, a hazy picture and severe digital artefacting. The anamorphic transfer from the Anchor Bay release has better detail resolution but is also on the soft side. The Anchor Bay transfer was cleaned up nicely with only mild speckling evident. It sports superior contrast and coloring, though the transfer is a a bit on the dark side. The film never looked this good on home video.
