The transfers come from the same clean source print. The German and the US transfer's aspect ratio of ~ 1,85:1 is true to the theatrical presentation of the movie while the Hong Kong transfer is opened at the top and bottom to an aspect ratio of ~ 1,78:1. Compression is good with no notable artefacts (background, pic#1). The steep contrast level and occasional grain is intentional. Some shots appear soft, but they are out of focus (pic#4). The HK transfer sports the highest vertical detail resolution of all transfers (e.g. Carreys face in pic#1, jacket details in pic#2, Winslett's eyes and brows in pic#3, facial skin in pic#4).
