The Region 2 version is brighter
and colors appear more vibrant. I suspected edge-enhancement on the PAL
edition, but I zoomed in quite extensively on a number of captures and could
not categorically identify it (see below). If it is there it is truly
miniscule. The Extras are exact as are the menus and covers.
The Region 1 has been cropped (noticeably on top). The Region 2 offers a
larger selection of subtitles and an additional audio DUB (Italian).
DVDBeaver recommends the Region 2. NOTE: We can confirm that both of these DVDs are in the incorrect aspect ratio. This film was definitely shot at 1.66, so both Warner's are cropped (or opened). Blow-up Censorship on DVDs issue HERE. - Gary W. Tooze |
